Hi, I’m Konstantin
or Panderu or Mr Pankratov or whatever name you can think of. I’m thrilled that you stopped by my portfolio. At the age of 20, I am on an exciting journey through the world of computer science, currently studying at the TH Nuremberg and exploring the endless possibilities this field has to offer. When I started - in the 4th grade - I wrote my very first “Hello World” program in Java. From there, my journey had a rather slow start as I was very busy with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 3 years later the flame was reignited and I actually had a purpose for what I could develop: Minecraft plugins. Through these I learned the basic concepts that are the foundation of actually knowing what I am doing. I have to mention that this came later, in about 10th grade. Around that time I picked up the hobby again and started writing a program to train my sight reading skills.
At university I was able to turn my hobby into a passion. Being surrounded by people with the same passion got me excited. This, combined with my studies, really helped to establish a foundation of what you can actually do and how a program works. But it wasn’t enough for me. I asked myself: Okay, just because I tell an IDE to do something, how does it know what to do with it? After all, code is nothing more than text. So I dug deeper. And deeper. And deeper. And there it was. My precious passion, not just for low-level coding. No, my passion for learning things. I discovered that I could be interested in almost anything related to computer science, and so I chose topics, jumped straight into rabbit holes, and shaped who I am today.
But who is Konstantin beyond the code? I’m a Linux enthusiast who fully embraced this open source operating system about a two years ago and never looked back. My commitment to continuous learning drives me to regularly attend workshops and meetings at a computer group in Nuremberg. From Docker to CAD, my appetite for learning knows no bounds.
I am also a musician. I play guitar, piano and occasionally train my gutterals. I also really like sports. I enjoy playing and watching American football and have recently discovered basketball. It is difficult for me to play in a real team due to lack of time, but I take every opportunity to throw some balls with some friends.
I hope I could give you an idea of who I am! :)
